A fun Winter Fest is coming to Concord!

Downtown Concord will host a new weekend WINTER FEST event packed with winter-themed events. 

Throughout the weekend of January 25-27, visitors can enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor events in the city of Concord, including the first ever WINTER FEST. Events include an ice sculpture competition, family activities, cornhole competition, visit from a surprise NHL player, winter shopping stroll and warm-up stations serving hot chocolate, hot cider and s’mores throughout the weekend.

The festival is  held in conjunction with the Black Pond Ice Hockey Tournament, which draws men and women’s pond hockey teams from throughout the region for a weekend of outdoor games and food truck refreshments in Concord parks, as well as the Winter Fling and Dancing with the Concord Stars, a popular night of dancing and live music to benefit New Hampshire Technical Institute student scholarships and educational programs.

Visitors to Concord’s 1st WINTER FEST, just 1 hour north of Boston, can watch ice-carving demonstrations by some of New England’s most talented carvers on Friday, January 25, starting at 4 p.m. This free event includes a competition on Saturday, January 26 at 11 a.m., where a panel led by the League of NH Craftsmen will select the top three sculptures. The Hotel Concord will award the prizes, including a People’s Choice Award. 

O Steaks & Seafood, which guests can access through the Hotel Concord lobby, will be serving a variety of specialty drinks from four themed ice bars with an ice luge on the patio from 4-10 p.m. Prizes will be given away every 30 minutes throughout the evening. Those wearing hockey team jerseys from the Black Pond Ice Hockey Tournament get free admission Friday night. 

Parking for events is available in the covered garage located in the Capital Commons Parking Garage accessed via Storrs Street. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between downtown and the Black Ice Hockey Tournament at White Park.

Proceeds from WINTER FEST benefit Intown Concord, League of NH Craftsmen, the White Park Skate House, the Coalition to End Homelessness, and the Friendly Kitchen.
