Concord's Squid Flip Launches New Website

He opened his store at the age of 10. A year later, entrepreneur Owen Simoes was on GMA. Trying to bring TV’s Flea Market Flipto life, he learned to paint and rethink furniture and decorative items. But COVID-19 made having a studio/retail shop unviable. So, Owen poured his innovative spirit into a new website — a virtual version of his shop, but one where he can share his inspirations and the new design projects he is working on.

Visit www.Squidflip.com and see his line of chalked paint, license plate boxes, vintage suitcase tables, one-of-a-kind lamps and a lot more. The new site is built in SquareSpace, so it will allow Owen to blog — and talk about his newest projects, including a kitchen redesign.

Owen has come a long way in the last eight months — he took on some challenging interior design projects too— and has learned about kitchens, tiling, cabinets and flooring.

Owen found a following in transforming classic suitcases into tables, and turning old chicken coops into coffee tables. His sources for raw materials are flea markets, and yard sales then he adds his own style, with special touches in painting, accessories and rethinking.
