A retro night of dancing in Concord

A Retro dance party at the Bank of NH Stage

What’s more fun than going out dancing? A retro dance party! The Capitol Center for the Arts hosts fun, funky dance parties at the Bank of NH Stage in downtown Concord. Catch their next dance event on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

If you’re planning a night of retro dancing, make a stop at Lilise Designer Resale before getting dressed for the night. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you plan the perfect outfit, and the store is full of cool vintage items that will help you stand out on the dance floor.

Once you’re dressed up, stop for a drink at Chuck’s BARbershop before heading to the stage. This cozy speakeasy-style bar has unique, delicious craft cocktails and a fabulous 20’s vibe. You’ll need to answer a riddle by answering a ringing vintage phone in the fake barbershop façade before entering a secret door into the bar. (Don’t worry, they’ll give you a hint if you need it!) You’ll be greeted by servers in 20’s outfits, and walk past cool prohibition décor. Try the necromancer cocktail if you like licorice flavor—it’s delicious! Their truffle fries are also amazing.

The Bank of NH Stage is located in the heart of downtown, at the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets. You can see the neon “Concord” sign from down the street! Once you’re inside, you can either head straight to the dance floor or go upstairs to a bar and lounge area. From upstairs, you have a great view of downtown Concord and can even peek over the balcony onto the dance floor below.

The dance floor is full of moving colored lights that create a cool, blurry atmosphere. It’s easy to get lost in the music with the stage’s incredible sound system. A large screen on the wall displays vintage music videos that are fun to watch when you’re taking a break from dancing. The night will go by quickly!

Wow Billiards and Bar

If you’re up for extending the night, check out Wow Billiards and Bar across the street from the stage. They’re open until 1 a.m. and it’s fun to try your hand at air hockey, another arcade game, or enjoy a round of pool after a night of dancing.
