Concord Multicultural Festival

Catch a traditional Columbian dance performance, led by Sindy Chown of Barranquilla Flavor.

September is a great time to be in Concord! Local farms are overflowing with fresh produce, theatres are booked with a huge variety of live shows, and the summer heat has eased off, bringing perfect weather for hiking, shopping downtown, and dining outdoors. September also brings one of the city’s favorite events of the year. The Concord Multicultural Festival is a celebration of diversity in New Hampshire’s Capital Region. The event features incredible food, performances, art, activities and a parade of flags—all presented by local community members.

The 2022 event takes place at Keach Park in Concord on Sunday, September 18 from 10:30am to 4:30pm. The day is jam-packed with performances that showcase many cultures that are represented in the Concord community. You’ll be mesmerized by traditional Nepalese music, get caught up in the rhythm of Columbian dance, and find yourself swaying to soulful Argentinian tangos. Keep your eye out for a schedule of performances at concordnhmulticulturalfestival.org so you can plan your day.

Another highlight of the festival is the diverse array of incredible food. Brings lots of cash, or purchase food vouchers in advance so you can make your way through the festival, tasting dishes from around the world. All the food vendors are New American restauranteurs or local community members who share their culture through mouth-watering dishes. Make sure you save room for a Somali meat pie, an African doughnut, homemade samosas, and much more.

With food in hand, and the sound of music in the background, you’ll make your way through the dazzling artists booths at the festival. Meet talented craft vendors, shop for unique items, and pause at local nonprofit booths to make new connections and enjoy great conversation. The festival’s goal is to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere that brings people together. Family and friends of all ages will love getting outside at Keach Park and participating in one of Concord’s favorite events!
