Whether you’re a part of the zero-waste movement or simply want a good deal, Concord is the place to find your next treasure.

Have you heard the buzz about resale? Many people are opting to reuse what’s already out there before they buy new… no longer are people associating secondhand shopping with musty old stores packed with stuff you’d never be able to sort through – in fact, in downtown Concord you’ll find a wealth of beautiful and unique resale shops.

Whether you’re a part of the zero-waste movement or simply want a good deal, Concord is the place to find your next treasure.

Shopping secondhand helps the environment, and your local economy! When you shop at a small business, more of your money stays right here in Concord – which is good for everyone.

As a life-long lover of all things secondhand, I not only do a heck of a lot of my thrift and resale shopping in Concord, but I also own my own consignment shop downtown, Lilise Designer Resale! So, while you may think this list is shameless self-promotion, I assure you that’s just like, 30% of it. 😉The rest is just true love, people.

The best part about secondhand shopping in Concord? You can do it 100% local!

True “thrifters” know about the usual suspects: Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers, etc… but Concord offers resale shopping that is not only fun and affordable, but is genuinely local, too!

Some quick stats on shopping secondhand:

-10.5 MILLION tons of used clothing gets sent to landfills every year: aka 21 BILLION POUNDS!!

-Over 1/3 of women wear a clothing item less than 5 times before discarding it.

-1 out of every 3 Americans shop resale.

-it’s on the rise: 44 million women shopped secondhand in 2017, compared with 35 million in 2016.

-77% of millennials prefer to buy from environmentally-friendly brands.

-35% are more likely to switch shopping habits to thrifting because they’re concerned about waste.

-it’s for everyone: 13% of the most active buyers on thredup.com are millionaires!

I’ve compiled a list of some great localsecondhand shops where you can get your retail therapy on – let us know which your favorite is!
